Seth Thomas City Series clock, "Omaha", ca 1886. Like most of theCity Series models this one has a distinctive style, railing around the top, very nice 19 inch walnut case with gold striping on the door. Original glassfeaturing birds and tall plants. There are remnants of the old black labelon the base. The dial has been papered instead of painted and the pendulum, although a Seth Thomas, is not correct for this model. 8 day movement isrunning and strikes hours on a cathedral bell. The factory stamp on the back, "B5881", indicates the clock was made February 1885. Ly-Seth Thomas No. 216.
