C.1874, Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., "Regulator No. 1" , 8-day wall timepiece. Condition: Refinished walnut and walnut veneered case in very good condition with restoration. There is some small damage to the bottom left corner of the lower door and the upper bezel has a couple of very nicely done patches. Original dial appears to have been repainted a long time ago and now has some paint loss around the mounting screws and a scratch near 7 o'clock. Hands look to be replaced. Weight baffle has been replaced. Weight is original. Tablet and decoration are original and nice; dark background is starting to flake. This clock has the rectangular movement designed by S. B.
