Seth Thomas "Regulator No. 2", ca 1911, and so stamped on the back of the case. This 36.5 inches case was made with old oak, retains the original finish and has all 5 little buttons on the base. We have not had, or seen, a better No. 2 case. There is an excellent brass beat scale, has a good amount of the paper label in the bottom, super old dial with original paint, (any paint flakes are not worth mentioning, normally a Seth Thomas dial this old has been repainted at least once), and a near perfect brass weight and pendulum bob. The 8 day, time only movement is correct for this model, and is running properly. Ly-Seth Thomas, 2004 Edition, pages 276- 277, lists current value $2000-$2200.
