Catalog Description:
Seth Thomas Clock Co. "Regulator No. 2", ca 1930's. Ly-Seth Thomas No. 367 gives the date as 1938, but actually this style base, Arabic dial, plain glass, came into production in 1929. The quartered oak, 36 inch case, has been refinished, stained and polished to appear more mahogany or cherry, thanoak. Old dial has had new holes drilled so that the screws would fit tight, and the opening around the seconds bit has been filled in to appear smaller, and touched up with a not so white paint. Brass is polished bright. Eventhough I have pointed out some deficiencies this is a beautiful clock, thewood grain is just outstanding. Anyone should be happy to hang this in theirhome. 8 day, time only movement No. 77A (80 beats per minute) is used in thismodel. There is a full label on the back of the case.
