About the Seth Thomas “No. 2” Clock
The Seth Thomas “No. 2” clock is a reproduction of the Nathaniel Mulliken style, showcasing a dwarf tall case design. This model features a country-style mahogany case with dovetail construction and a wire and bob pendulum. The dial, made of brass, has numerals cut or engraved into it. Due to its design, the clock runs approximately 10 days before needing to be wound.
The Seth Thomas “No. 2” is also available in oak and wall-mounted versions. These variations include models with seconds bits, brass trim, pendulums, and weights, as well as dial sizes ranging from 11 ½ inches to 12 inches. Some of these clocks have undergone recent servicing, ensuring they run briskly.
Notably, the Seth Thomas “No. 2” is available in various conditions, with some examples having minor veneer chips or scuffs on the case. Despite these imperfections, each clock maintains an appealing country style that adds character to any collection.

the workman has made a wire and bob pendulum. He has made a dial of brass, with the numerals cut or engraved into the brass. Because of the length of drop the clock will run about 10 days. Has been recently serviced and is running briskly. The weight is a turp can filled with lead, and with a guide added to each end of the can, painted brown. Guides in the case keep the weight away from the pendulum. Ht 41.5″
