C.1938, Seth Thomas, SHIP’S BELL No. 4, with an 8-day 7-jewel movement, in a heavy cast brass case with Chrome finish, highly polished, and with screw on bezel.
Condition: outstanding original. Note this is a contemporary of the above timepiece [No. 166], and was Seth Thomas effort to compete with the Chelsea line that had proved so popular. This special order chrome finish sold for $55, a high price at the time. Note this case is nearly twice as deep as the timepiece. Same diameter = 5.75″
