The case has been refinished. The painted dial has been replaced with a modern paper dial. The hands are old and perhaps original. The movement is signed. The stenciled door glass is a replacement. The original pendulum bob is damaskeened nickel. Ht 22Ó.

The walnut case is in excellent condition. The painted dial is original but has loss above the time side winding hole. The hands appear to be later replacements. The large lyre movement is signed and strikes on a cathedral gong. The, spring driven, alarm movement strikes on a bell mounted under the cathedral gong. The stenciled glass is original. The pendulum bob is damaskeened nickel. The case backside shows a date of December, 1887. Ht 22Ó.
