Can be silenced leaving only the hour striking. 8 day movement marked “89AG”, Sonora Chime movement marked, “90B”, both running and striking properly. 14 inches high mahogany case has shaded marquetry on the front. Full back door with latch and brass cover with cutouts for sound to escape. 6 inch silver dial is signed, has painted numerals. Wear around all the winding arbors. There are some small scrapes and minor veneer chips commensurate with the age of the clock. Someone has put a coat of varnish on the dial that has turned yellow (done long ago). Original painted tablet maybe 20% flaked. Hands are original. Movement is signed. Label inside about 1/3 worn. Generally a good original clock. Height 25.5 inches [64.77 cm]
