Catalog Description: C.1924, Seth Thomas Clock Co., “Drop Octagon,10 Inch”, 8-day oak cased timepiece. Condition: the oak case has been stripped and varnished. Dial, hands, movement, and pendulum are original. The bezel has been re-soldered at the hinge, and the glass tabs re-soldered as well; glass fits OK, but is a bit small for the bezel. Catalog Description: Seth Thomas, “Drop Octagon, 8 Inch”, C. 1909. Case is made of Fumed Oak, stands 17″ high. A nice looking medium oak with great flowing wood grain. There are a couple of small dings and a small chip around the lower door latch. A stamp on the back, “A3”, is I suspect the date the clock was made, January 1903. That would be in keeping with the ST method of marking their cases. In this small case is a large 8 day, spring movement, time only, and running. Correct pendulum and hands, new paper dial on the old pan. Good little clock that won’t make noise every hour. Ly-Seth Thomas #507.
