Fancy walnut case, original finish, 21 inches high. 8-day movement strikes on a nickel plated bell, the alarm mechanism is complete and strikes the same bell. Hands, nickel pendulum, dial, and glass, are old and original. The “Boston” is one of the popular “City Series” clocks made by Seth Thomas. Overall condition of this clock is very good. Ly-Seth Thomas No. 170.

C.1884, Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn, “BOSTON, V.P.” , walnut cased parlor clock from the City series, 8-day time and bell strike.
Condition: Overall very good original condition. The one item that keeps this from being excellent is a dry vertical split where the top cross piece meets the left side. Retains original dial in excellent condition, perfect nickel plated pendulum with copper “STCC” center and original hands. Nice lyre movement. Ht 21″ [53cm]
