Introducing the Seth Thomas “Metals No. 2,” an exquisite mantel clock produced by the renowned Seth Thomas Clock Company around 1909. This 8-day time and strike clock stands at a height of approximately 58.4 centimeters (23 inches), showcasing an oak case that has undergone refinishing, now boasting a walnut color. The original mountings are preserved, with a minor blemish in the form of a small bubble on the left side oak veneer trim.
The clock’s dial, adorned with Roman numerals, exhibits a subtle aging that adds to its character. The original hands and pendulum remain intact. A noteworthy feature is the instruction label on the case back, which has darkened over time, as well as the brand label inside the case, which has been affected by solvent or stripper.
The “Metals No. 2” features a half-hour gong and an urn and swag decorated glass door. The dial, though showing some wear, complements the worn glass decoration on the door. This clock is in working condition, winding and running smoothly as of its last inspection.

With an 8 day T&S with alarm, with 1/2 hour strike, movement and a marked paper dial. The door is stenciled with an arched doorway and a hanging swag with large circular drop. There is a sunburst pendulum with the clock. The clock is running and striking at this time. (The dial shows some wear.) 23 1/8″ Tall
