walnut case in as found condition in an original finish with a small ding on the right side and small veneer piece missing the top back edge. Original painted dial is very clean with a couple of minor chips on the outer edge. Minute hand is a replacement. Hour hand and the pendulum are original. Movement is properly signed. Label in case bottom has no visible print remaining. Height 19.5 inches

C.1885, Seth Thomas NORFOLK, City Series Walnut cased mantel clock, 8-day time and strike.
Condition: biggest hurt is the missing top crest molding (hard to see it is missing in foto). The top has a new glue block behind it which could be better. Case lost maybe a fourth of its original finish to a wire wool cleaning. Otherwise a decent original clock that will restore fine. Properly signed movement, needs cleaning. Height 19.5 inches

the old finish has been nicely polished, the paper dial is in very good condition but pulling away from its bezel on one side, and the hour hand is too short. The nickel plate pendulum is bright. The glass, not plain as in Ly, has a lower pattern. No label. Ht 19.5″
