C.1890, Seth Thomas, PARLOR CALENDAR No. 10, in outstanding
condition. Retains both inside labels, original dials, rollers, pendulum and weights. Walnut case has burled and carved accents. This is a rare clock, and this one has received loving care for the last 100+ years. If there is a better one in the U.S., we have not seen it. Refer to Ly’s Calendar Clock book, pages 262-263 for full details. Height 36 inches.

Walnut case partially refinished. Several of the smaller decorative pieces are replacements. The gallery on the top of the case is missing. Both dials have been repainted. Calendar rollers are original but age darkened. Nice label on inside of door. Hands appear to be original. This is the earlier model of the No. 10 Parlor Calendar on page 110 of “Seth Thomas Clocks and Movements” third edition, volume one by Tran Duy Ly.

This is a rarely seen calendar model I have had 3 or 4 and seen that many more They were not all made alike, different movements, carvings, and trims If you will check my references below you will see what I mean This is the nearest to mint I have ever seen As a Seth Thomas collector I hesitate to part with it 36 inch walnut case with burl and carvings in appropriate places Original dials,weights, and in running order 8 day, striking on a cathedral gong This clock has the label, movement, gong, and dial board like the clock pictured in Ly-Calendar No.640, 641; Miller’s “Calendar Clocks”, page 20; and Ly-SethThomas No.102, 103

the case retains its original finish nicely rubbed down. All trim elements are intact and present. The dials are repainted and the calendar rolls have been repapered.

the case is refinished and has a glossy appearance. There are various crack repairs to the top. Both dials are new replacements. There is a new dial mount below calendar dial.
