Seth Thomas Clock Co. hanging electric gallery clock, “Deputy 2 – 1936”.
This rare clock is in the books but I had never seen one before. It is a fantastic 16.5″ quartered oak case, hinged door on the base, brass bezel, three hands, and a 13″ white enameled dial that is signed, “Seth Thomas / Made In U.S.A.”. The movement is complete and we were told it was running when they cut the wire to remove the clock and sell to us. It is a self starting synchronous electric motor. There is a metal tag/label on the back. Ly-Seth Thomas No. 1278.
