    Truly exceptional in all respects. The dials have their original paint and almost without blemish. Original roller papers are clear and very legible. Correct pendulum with no breaks or damage to the stick or brass bob. Original hands, weight, pulley, key, beat scale and glass. The case has a perfect original untouched finish. The best part is that the case is cherry – the most desirable of the woods and nearly impossible to find in any condition let alone in a clock this good. It is in good running order. If you demand the very best, it will hard to surpass this example. 49″ tall.

    Jan 2022 – #118 Antique American Clocks Seth Thomas carved column & cornice, A 29-inch case on carved paw feet and turned feet in the back, with carved half-columns and splat. The carvings are deep and elaborate, the mahogany veneer is in good shape. Both glasses are original, the tablet glass broken and secured. The image is very well preserved. The dial is clean and unusual, the hands period, but the minute hand appears to be too short. The 30-hour time-and-strike wooden movement is running and striking assuredly, driven by two old weights.
