Silverdial with recessed and painted numerals, has wear around the arbors and between the 9 and 12. Nice old case has never been cleaned, and should be polished, at least. Would be an outstanding Westminster Chime clock if restored. 8 day, strikes 5 rod gongs, running strong. Bowed glass over the dial. No knob on back door, but available from Timesavers. Catalog Description: C.1921, Seth Thomas, Chime Clock No. 75, 8-Day Westminster Chime tambour clock in mahogany. Condition: the silvered brass dial is oxidized in a few places, mostly from winding and setting the hands. At some time the brass leader for the original pendulum got lost and a workman made one out of a steel rod and paper clip. You can see the original pattern in Tran Duy Ly’s Seth Thomas book, 3rd edition, page 170, fig 453, and it is relatively east to make one out of rolled sheet brass. Chime rods sound nice in this clock. Height 9.75 inches

There is also a rough spot on the front edge where something scraped against it. The silvered dial is very good, but there are some scratches around the winding holes. This has a large solid plate, Model 113 movement. Original pendulum is wrapped inside case. Height 10 inches
