Catalog Description: C.1894, Seth Thomas Clock Co., “Umbria”, 8-day time and strike wall clock in oak. Condition: Refinished case is in generally good condition with a little lifting of the veneer in a couple of places on dial surround, and on the upper left side. There is some small damage to the right side molding of the crest. The small decorative element for the bottom bracket is missing, easy to cut with a coping or jig saw. Original painted dial is worn a little and some minor paint loss in the center, but overall very good for Seth Thomas. Minute hand is not original. Movement is properly signed. Someone pried the door open and broke the ST latch, but parts are available to repair this. In perfect order, Ly prices this at $1800. Height 40.5 inches

Catalog Description: Seth Thomas “US Navy Deck Clock No. 3”. Back of case stamped “D1959”. Original key is engraved, “STENDER”. Screw off bezel, glass held with glue, some oozed out but will scrape off. Brass case is 7 3/4 inches in back, 7 1/4 inches in front. 5 inch dial ring. Signed on the dial, plus a serial number “N. 5780”. Seconds dial. Clock is running.

Catalog Description: Seth Thomas shelf clock, “Tudor No. 3”, ca 1863. An early shelf clock in the round top style. Seth Thomas must have made millions from 9 inches to 16 inches high. It has a complete, black label. Movement is 8 day, half hour strike on a wire gong, alarms on an iron bell. That is, it should strike on a wire gong. The strike triggering lever and arbor are missing from the movement. The number “5 1/8” movement is running fine, so pretend it is a time only clock, unless you have the strike parts. Walnut case is 12 inches high, wood bezel, door knob. Unfortunately Papaw put a new paper dial on theold zinc pan rather than spend $15 to have it painted. Ly-Seth Thomas No. 952.

The movement had been attached with machine screws and the restorer put 4 plugs in the back of the case and then re-attached the movement with wood screws as appropriate. The rosewood case has two veneer repairs, well done, and is refinished. The dial has been professionally repainted. The type T waisted movement is unique to the Tudor case; clean and running.
