    Catalog Description: Seth Thomas Clock Co. hanging, “Office No. 6”, ca 1909. The original red mahogany finish on the 36 inch high, old case, has never been cleaned or refinished, still has the crazing on the wood. Everything looks tobe original, except maybe the glasses, can’t tell for sure. The old dial wasrepainted and looks identical to an original looks like in the books. Very nice nickel pendulum ball with the Seth Thomas swirls, beat scale, and an old label inside the case. The movement is 8 day, time only, spring driven, running well. Ly-Seth Thomas, No. 473.

    Catalog Description: Seth Thomas “Omaha”, ca 1886. Another famous City Series clock, made in walnut with a fancy rail around the top, and a great glass showing mythical birds. This case features some gold stripes on the case that matches the gold glass. The case is 19 inches high, probably never cleaned. 8 day, hour strike, with an alarm system. The dial is not bad for Seth Thomas dials, black label, great nickel pendulum and cathedral bell stand. Ly-Seth Thomas No.216.

    Catalog Description: C.1915, Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn, “OWL ALARM”, patinated white metal base with stamped brass movement surround. Condition: the brass canister had a single crack (often there are more). The base retains much of its original finish. The original dial is excellent. Seth Thomas brought this out in an effort to capitalize on the popularity of their “Long Alarm”, but the market had already begun to change and neither model was continued after WWI. A nice example of an uncommon model, and a great beginners clock. Ht 10.2″ [26cm]

  • Antique Seth Thomas “Parlor Calendar No. 1” Model Clock

    Catalog Description: C.1865, Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn, “Parlor Calendar No. 1”, 8-day time and strike 2-weight, double dial, perpetual calendar clock. Condition: Refinished rosewood veneered case in generally good condition. There is some wear to the veneer on the left side front and the bottom edge. The veneer on the curved molding just above the base has been replaced, and just above on the door, other veneer repairs. Original painted dial has flaking and loss, and with original hands. Lower dial is original, but date hand has been replaced, and the patent info has been cleaned off. Calendar rollers are original. Also with 2 repair labels from Portsmouth, Ohio. For reference, see Ly’s book titled Calendar Clocks, page 258. Height 32 inches [81cm]

    Catalog Description: C.1877 (dated label), Seth Thomas “Parlor Calendar No. 3′ in rosewood, as-found. Although this clock seems to run and strike fine, and the calendar is functional, the case has some problems. The veneer on the top bezel has bubbled and has a couple of chips (now stained in), and the entire case has been varnished over. The time dial is a photocopy, stained to look old. Retains original calendar dial, rollers and hand. Top glass with crack (inexpensive to replace), Height 26′

There are some small veneer chips on the case and both dials have been professionally repainted. Has both original labels and original rollers in good+ condition.     Catalog Description: Seth Thomas Clock Co., “Parlor Calendar No. 6”, ca 1886. The catalogs all show this model with brass bezels, these are wood, circles etched around, and definitely original to this clock. Old zinc dials have been repainted, roller paper was not changed. Signed 8 day movement, Geneva stops removed, strikes on a brass bell, running very strong.Walnut case is 27 inches high, in good original condition with one possible exception and that is the top urn. I know from past experience that urns were slightly different from year to year. This one could be a well made reproduction. As Fox News says, “we report, you decide”. Two labels in the case, factory stamp on the back indicating this clock was made, “May 1885”. Ly-Seth Thomas No.95.

The case houses a 4-jeweled lever movement with a very clean silver dial and original hands. There are two age cracks in the wood bezel that surrounds the dial. The eagle finial is original. There is a small clean label on the back of the case. Height 21 inches
