    Catalog Description: C.1867, Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn, Column and Cornice Shelf Clock with restoration. This is a rosewood model, with some veneer repairs, and has been attractively refinished. The original faux shell columns show some wear, and there are some veneer chips on the base. The two beautiful tablets have been professionally restored (+ fresh black on rear). The cornice has had some veneer replaced on both the ogive and the straights. Main detraction is a dial that has been touched up with a black brush too wide. Has a very clean label, including full operating instructions, plus an attest that it was bought new in January 1867. Height 32 inches

    Catalog Description: C.1910, Seth Thomas Clock Co., “Chime Clock No. 1 ,”4 bell Sonora chime mantel clock, in generally good condition. The adamantine mahogany finish is in pretty nice condition, however, there is a tiny chip on the upper right corner and a little damage and some splits in the front panel, above the dial.. This model which usually came with a silvered dial has the optional porcelain dial, with small chips by each winding arbor (only apparent on close inspection). The hands are original. The clock retains its original brass ball feet. The original brass gilt columns have been brushed over with gold paint. In running order and with excellent tone (chimes Westminster tune). Height 12 1/2”

Time only, Graham dead beat escapement.The old oak case is 40 1/2 inches, superbly refinished some years back. There is a small piece of trim missing on the bottom, a piece about 1 inch long. There are 2 brass door locks, brass beat scale, brass pendulum. Very nice original dial with a seconds dial, never repainted. Ly-Seth Thomas No.474.

    Catalog Description: Seth Thomas “World”, long drop regulator, C. 1885. Old oak veneer case is32″ high, great wood grain matches, yet is different at every turn. A careful and skilled wood man filled all the wood joints with a color matching wood putty, cleaned the case, sent the old dial to The Dial House for a good repaint, and in general made the clock fine enough for anyone to hang in their home. I note a repair made on the minute hand. All brass is polished, and a new knob was installed on the lower door. Full label inside the case. 8 day, large double spring movement with Graham dead beat escapement, Geneva stops still in place, and there is a second’s dial. Ly-Seth Thomas, page 150.
