    Condition: there is a small loss on the right side of the bezel from someone opening the bezel too harshly; it has been colored in and only shows from the right side. The case was nicely refinished maybe 25 years ago and with good color and patina. Best part is a great original dial with only minor flakes. Interior of the clock has original finish, and all other items, weight, pendulum and beat scale are original. Retains original, No. 77A movement with thru-bolt attaching. For details see Ly’s Seth Thomas book, 3rd Edition, page 277. Clean and running. Height 36 inches

A signed paper dial in a bright brass bezel. half-hour strike Seth Thomas movement is running and striking. The pendulum has the correct Eclipse-signed bob. An untested alarm, an instruction label inside. Only flaw – the hour hand is incorrect, but a close match to the original. Seth Thomas shelf clock. Horton’s sold one a year ago every bit as nice for $150.

The 23.5-inch case is mahogany with the original 12-inch painted metal dial (note the logo above the mainstem) and hands. Both glasses appear to be original. The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is reluctant to run and the strike is stuck. There is a wire gong and the remains of a black label inside. dial has been touched up and the paint no longer matches, and there are more chips. Lotta room for improvement here.

    This large heavy bronze case was polished sometime recently, and could use it again, or be allowed to mellow to an older patina. The thick beveled convex glass is fine. The silvered dial , with applied cast numbers, was just restored by Chad Mitchell, but the tiny minute buttons were not refit. The round high-Grade movement, signed R.Kaiser and numbered 52800, is missing its pendulum and will need service. Ly price guide shows $1,000 for this model. Ht 16″.

From the catalog description: “Rich gold-plated and lacquered case. polished, round movement. Four-inch convex silvered dial with raised bronze numerals. Cut serpentine hands.” this model came with a 15 day and 8-day movement, the latter is found here. The four beveled glasses are perfect; the brass is tarnished on top. It is running and striking on a cathedral gong. Schmidt’s Antiques sold a very similar Doric No. 2 in 2020 for $450.
