    Catalog Description: C.1886, Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn, “Regulator No. 1″ , in rosewood, and with original nickel appointments, and with advertising dial. Condition: Virtually like new, this is an exceptional clock, ordered for Jalbert Jeweler and Optometrist , and with their original logo on the dial. This clock has the large trapezoid movement similar to the regulator No. 3, that was introduced in 1879. Original finish is rubbed and waxed to a nice sheen. If you want one No. 1, this is the one.     Catalog Description: C.1874, Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., “Regulator No. 1″ , 8-day wall timepiece. Condition: Refinished walnut and walnut veneered case in very good condition with restoration. There is some small damage to the bottom left corner of the lower door and the upper bezel has a couple of very nicely done patches. Original dial appears to have been repainted a long time ago and now has some paint loss around the mounting screws and a scratch near 7 o’clock. Hands look to be replaced. Weight baffle has been replaced. Weight is original. Tablet and decoration are original and nice; dark background is starting to flake. This clock has the rectangular movement designed by S. B. Terry. For reference, see Tran Ly’s book on Seth Thomas, 3rd Edition, Vol 1, page 269. Ht 33.5” [85 cm]

The porcelain dial is OK, with some minor chips around the winding holes. Hands, pendulum, crystal and movement original, and is running OK. A decent example of this model. Height 16 inches

    Catalog Description: “Seth Thomas Sons & Co. N.Y.”, on the dial, Thomaston, CT. on the movement. This is “Rebecca at the Well”; their pattern No. 8002, complete and original excepting one frond of the palm tree is missing. Ca 1876. Notice that this clock is painted every inch with extraordinary colors of their time on the garments and other features. If I did not know better I would say it came from the factory painted. A true artist did the work. It is so unusual you will want to keep it like it is. 8 day round, French style movement is properly signed; it has an outside count, bell strike and is running. Metal case is 16 inches high. Some minor paint loss, chip on the heavy beveled glass, but the porcelain dial is almost perfect. Ly-American, Volume 2, #843. With this outstanding paint job the clock would have brought close to 1000 dollars if everything were nice. As is, my estimate is .

    Catalog Description: C.1909 Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn, “Real BRONZE GOTHIC” 8-day time/strike mantel clock. Condition: Bronze case retains antique bronze finish. Silvered dial has raised bronze numerals; some tarnish, couple loose minute markers. Hands are original. Movement is marked on the back plate: “S. Kaiser”, a quality design, these were known for running reliably for longer than 8 days. This model came in 5 or 6 sizes, identified as 00, 0, 1-2-3, however this uncommon size falls between the 0 and 1. At $35 retail, this was an expensive clock in 1909. Ht 9.75″ [24.7 cm]
