Catalog Description: C.1915, Seth Thomas Chime Clock No. 1, Special, 4-bell sonora in good original condition. There are some corner and edge chips to the adamantine veneer. The cream colored porcelain dial is excellent. You may see full details on the No. 1 in Ly’s Seth Thomas book (1996), page 212, including photos of the no. 89 time and strike movement and the no. 90 chime movement. Catalog Description: C.1915 Seth Thomas Clock Co., “Chime Clock No. 14”, 8-day time/strike 5-bell Sonora Chime mantel clock. Condition: Mahogany case is in nice condition with some minor dings; original finish has been varnished over. Silvered dial is very clean with scratches near the winding holes. Hands are original. One problem is the parts that are mounted on the rear plate that actuate the hours strike hammer are missing. The hammer is there, but the rest needs to be restored… A picture in the Tran Duy Ly’s Seth Thomas catalog shows a picture of the movement with that area showing which could aid in making the repair, or look at a friend’s Sonora. Catalog Description: C.1875 Seth Thomas Clock Co., “Cincinnati”, 8-day time/strike city series walnut shelf clock. Condition: Walnut veneered case is in good condition refinished long ago, and with minor veneer loss on the right side of the base and some minor loss to the ebonized areas. Original gold leaf columns are now overpainted with gold. Finials have been replaced (and not proper profile). Original dial has been inpainted in the flaked areas and needs professional help. Catalog Description: Seth Thomas “Concord”, ca 1886. One of the better City Series models. Has good design and probably difficult to make. Has the top of the line nickel pendulum, dial ring, gong base, door lock, etc. 8 day, strike and alarm, and running. Alarms on a nickel bell and strikes a cathedral gong. Catalog Description: C.1863, Seth Thomas, Plymouth (label and movement), COTTAGE, mini one day time, restored (see Ly no. 968 in Seth Thomas book). This is a Civil War era clock and these OG bottoms are hard to find. This model might not please everyone, as it has been completely re-veneered, top to bottom, and there are some “waves” in the veneer. Any one who has tried veneering knows that it is a tough job. The dial has been professionally painted, and with new “S-T” hands. Retains a great Plymouth Hollow label. Just cleaned, running and ready to enjoy. Height 9 inches
