Catalog Description: Seth Thomas “Toledo”, ca 1886. One of the famous and collectable City Series by Seth Thomas. As you can see this clock is not complete, missing the dial, bezel, and pendulum. There is a black label, 8 day lyre movement with Geneva stops, a cathedral gong with stand. If I sold this movement and gong separate I would expect to get $100 for the movement and $50 for the gong. Find a dial and bezel and it should fetch $250. Pretty nice walnut case is 15 1/2 inches high. Ly-Seth Thomas No.232.

There is an old chip by the left winding hole (not all the way to copper), but otherwise this is a very clean clock, with good no. 48 round plate movement and original dial and hands. Catalog Description: C.1915 Seth Thomas Clock Co., U.S. Navy Deck Clock No. 1. This heavy brass with screw bezel clock is in need of a cleaning as the brass shows considerable tarnish. The dial is good condition with original hands. The movement runs for a while and is in need of cleaning. The case has a number stamped on the back of 11390. Unusual for its age. Height 7″

Catalog Description: Seth Thomas, “English Cabinet” cased clock, “Wales”, ca 1909. 10.75 inches high mahogany cabinet case with ripple molding around the top, brass feet. 4 inch convex porcelain dial under a cast sash and a beveled glass. Neither the wood nor brass has ever been cleaned that we can tell. A really nice clean case. Little hairlines around one wind arbor, nothing serious. 8 day round movement, hour and half hour rack strike on a Cathedral Bell. Factory date on the base but I can’t decipher exactly. Been in storage several years, will no doubt need service, even though it is trying to run. Ly-Seth Thomas, page 283.

Catalog Description: Seth Thomas “World” drop trunk clock, ca 1909. 15 day, time only, double spring, large No.40 movement, Graham dead beat escapement, movement original to this case but the pendulum hanger above the movement has been moved or replaced. The movement is signed and running. Old oak case is 32 inches, beat scale and label are old as are the pendulum and rod. Dial pan is new and a new paint job. I would find the correct pan or repaint this one or at least have the Seth Thomas lettering redone. Factory date of “1890” on back of the case. Ly-Seth Thomas, page 150.

Catalog Description: C.1886 Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., “Arch Top”, 8-day time, strike & alarm mantel clock in very good condition. This walnut and walnut burl veneer case is in nice shape with original finish. The veneer is quite good with minor roughness on the bottom and some chips on the case sides. The dial has some paint loss around the winding arbors and the mounting screws; numerals have been strengthened. Good label. Way above average condition for this model. Height 15.25 inches

Catalog Description: C.1886, Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, CT. “Atlas” 8-day parlor clock with a quarter-hour gong striking movement (this is an uncommon Seth Thomas movement, similar to that used in the Marcy). It has a fancy walnut case in fine condition with original finish. It also has an unusually good original dial with only one missing grommet. It also has great original bronze decoration glass, original nickel plated gong base and nickel plated decorated pendulum. It also has the original black label inside in the bottom of the case in good condition. The minute hand is original, but the hour hand is replaced (needs only a common spade hand to be correct). This is a fine example of this scarce quarter striking model. Height 22 1/2″

Catalog Description: Seth Thomas mantle clock, “Bee”, C. 1884. An ebony cabinet case, marqueterie panel with flowers and the “bee”, from whence the name comes. Carved panels above and below the dial, railing around the top, etched and cutouts on both sides, fluted each side of the front edges. 4 turned wood feet. A lot going on with this small 14″ high clock. French sash with beveled glass, 4.5″ porcelain dial is excellent, and signed. The 15 day movement is signed several places, the most interesting is, “R. Kaisor”. I have seen the name on other Seth Thomas movements but have no idea what it means unless he is given credit for designing the clock. Strikes half hours on a standing cathedral gong. The movement could stand to be serviced, it has been some time. The bonus in this clock is a secret compartment above the movement, inside the case. Ly-Seth Thomas #1297.
