    Antique Seth Thomas

Catalog Description: C.1888, Seth Thomas “12 Inch Drop wall clock (dated on rear), in very good as-found condition. This clock came from a loft in Wayland, Mass, and is really untouched. We typically associate this style with 1910, however, the pinned minute hand and the type of 8-day movement in this clock are typical of 1888. There is some minor flaking on the dial, and the black has been strengthened. Tablet is original; label inside is coming loose from back, but is there. Time only. Case is either mahogany or rosewood, but has so much dirt it is hard to tell. Height 23 “

  • Antique Seth Thomas “Eclipse” Model Clock

    Antique Seth Thomas

Catalog Description: Seth Thomas wall clock, balltop, or, “Eclipse”, C. early 1900’s. Walnut case, 26.5″ high, refinished and clean. One small chip on the top right trim. On several of the hanging balltops we have had, there has been a paper label on the inside of the door. This one says, “No. C. 807”. I have always had the feeling that was their code for 1907 or1908, the date it was made. This clock is correct and all original with the exception of a repainted dial. 8 day movement still has the Geneva stops in place, and movement needs to be oiled. Strikes the hours on a coil gong, alarms on a brass bell. Accessories are all brass.
