  • Antique Seth Thomas “Eton” Model Clock

    Antique Seth Thomas

Catalog Description: Seth Thomas light brown adamantine mantle clock. I am not sure which model, but may be the “Eton”, ca 1904. There is a full label on the bottom, too dark to read. The case is 17 inches wide and almost perfect except for some small bruises. Like most all clocks in this big collection it has been cleaned inside and out, gilt metal feet and ornaments repainted, gilt metal bezel and dial cleaned. 8 day strikes a cathedral gong, running. The only negative is there is no back cover. I am sure it is in one of the boxes of parts and pieces. Ly-Seth Thomas #1203 or others very similar.

  • Antique Seth Thomas “Gallery, 18 Inch” Model Clock

    Antique Seth Thomas

Catalog Description: C.1900. Seth Thomas, GALLERY, 18-INCH, in oak, with 15 Day double spring time only movement with Graham escapement. Condition: overall excellent, the case refinished some time ago and with nice caramel color. The original dial is in amazingly good condition, some numerals carefully strengthened. We took off the dial expecting to find it marked 86A (what it is) but instead it is marked simply 18 (for 18 inch dial). In any case it is the original 15 day movement; it will need cleaning; it has been recently oiled without cleaning and is running OK. We moved the dial support board to get a better foto of the movement. For details on this clock, see Tran Ly’s 3rd edition Seth Thomas book, page 340, figure 1090. Height 25 inches

  • Antique Seth Thomas “Greek” Model Clock

    Antique Seth Thomas

Catalog Description: Seth Thomas mantle clock, “Greek”, ca 1884. 8 day, striking a nickel bell on the hours, running fine. Matching Seth Thomas nickel pendulum and rod, and dial rings. It has a new dial pan and dial paint. Full black label inside, original glass. 24 inch walnut case was evidently very dirty and was partially cleaned. Some of the finish is lighter in color. I wouldn’t do a thing to the case, although some folks may want it refinished completely to better highlight the nice walnut wood. If there is anything replaced on this clock besides the dial, I would probably point to the urn. It may have been added in later life, if so a great piece of work. Ly-Seth Thomas No.1296.
