Condition: Walnut veneered case in clean condition with some scratches and an old and possibly original finish. Wood bezel on the door is unusual for this model with indication that it was originally gilded. Dial pan was flaked and has been papered over, and also turned upside down and now with extra holes. The original painted dial is quite nice with some flaking beginning to appear at about 10 and 4 o’clock. The hands are original, but the hour hand is missing the little trim element from its center. Catalog Description: C.1905, Seth Thomas Clock Co., “Beulah”, 8-day time/strike adamantine mantel clock. Condition: White adamantine finished case in very nice clean condition with a tiny chip on the right corner of the base and small raised area on the back edge of the base. Original dial is stained at 9+3 from oil. Hands are original. Applied ornaments have much of their original gold plating intact. Label on the back, with losses. As nice as these white clocks are, they were not popular sellers a hundred years ago, and we find very few of them. Movement has been recently cleaned. Height 10.5 inches [26.67 cm]
