Catalog Description: Seth Thomas, “Large Rosewood Shell Column”, ca 1863. Rosewood veneer column case is 32″ high, has real good shell columns, capitals and bases havebetter than 90 percent of the original gold. The rosewood veneer is great on thedoors, the rolling pieces on the base and the rolling top, for the most part. The very top edge of the case has been banged several times and needs a fewthin pieces of veneer patched. Some patching has been done in 2-3 flat placesbut the wrong veneer was used. The bottom baseboard flat will also need acouple of flat veneer pieces attended to. Antique Seth Thomas

Catalog Description: C.1890, Seth Thomas Clock Co., “Lincoln V.P.”, 8-day time/strike 2-weight shelf clock in oak and in very good original condition. The only item that keeps this from being excellent is a replaced return molding on the upper left side; it has been made with an improper shape, although only a collector would notice. • Antique Seth Thomas “Nashville VP” Model Clock

    Antique Seth Thomas

Catalog Description: Seth Thomas “Nashville, V.P.” one of the earlier City Series clocks Seth Thomas made, ca 1879. As I have mentioned before V.P. means Visible Pendulum. This is by far the nicest of this model I have ever had, and I have had 2 dozen or more. I will go out on a limb and call it perfect, even considering it is 124 years old. Nickel accessories include dial rings, bell, and pendulum. This model, the New Orleans, and the Fashion No. 3 are the only models pictured in any catalog with the “star and fleur de lys” pendulum. Black label inside on the base of this 16 inch walnut case. 8 day movement, bell strike, and running. Ly-Seth Thomas No. 210.

  • Antique Seth Thomas “Newark” Model Clock

    Antique Seth Thomas

Catalog Description: Seth Thomas, “Newark”, ca 1886, the date stamped on the back of the case indicating it was made on that date. 8 day, hourly strike on a Cathedral Gong, alarms on a brass bell, running fine. The only reason this clock can’t be called original is the addition of a new paper dial, on the old zinc pan. The rest of the clock is great. It has the deluxe Seth Thomas brass pendulum and hanger, and the brass dial rings. Clock is running and striking. This is a really nice 22″ walnut case, with the usual rubs and dings, in other words not perfect but plenty nice. There is a nice black label inside. This model, although having the kitchen clock look, is really one of their early City Series clocks that were made with better workmanship and materials. Ly-Seth Thomas No. 212.
