    Catalog Description: Seth Thomas “Regulator No. 6”. This clock is number 217, of 4000, reissued by Seth Thomas in the 1970’s. A label inside carries the serial number. The quality of the clocks is typical Seth Thomas and it is identical to the originals made 100 years earlier. They used select walnut, a quality grade of brass, and the same movement, 8 day time only- and signed. We had the movement checked; it is running and should provide many years of maintenance free service. The case is 49 inches long, excellent condition throughout. Typical brass weight does not show in the picture, but like everything else, it is perfect. Ly-Seth Thomas No. 391.

    Catalog Description: Seth Thomas “Regulator No. 9″, ca 1884. This was a very poplar case style for the Seth Thomas Company. They put their calendar movement in the bottom and called it the Office Calendar No. 12, and they sold the No. 9 cases and movements to the Self Winding Clock Co., who added their winding attachmentand other parts. This walnut case is 48” high, clean, polished, and in verynice condition. The movement is 8 day weight driven, time only. Painted zincdial is 10 inches. Brass weight, pendulum bob, dial ring, beat scale, allclean and polished. There are no deficiencies or problems that we need tomention. Very nice clock. Ly-Seth Thomas No. 403.

    Catalog Description: Seth Thomas “Round Band”, ca 1863. Early shelf clock with a signed brass movement, full label, original zinc dial, although flaked about 10%. If you want originality, it is great as is, if you want looks, spend $25 and get the dial repainted. 30 hour, strikes a gong on the hours. Runs, but needs adjusting. 17 inch walnut case has never been cleaned. Good veneer generally, may be a sliver off somewhere. Part of the glass rebacked, middle section should be.     Catalog Description: C.1860, Seth Thomas Clock Co., Plymouth Hollow, Conn., “Shell Column” 8-day shelf clock, in generally fair condition, with restorations. This clock’s case has very good grain painted columns and over painted gilt capitals and bases (although the columns are upside down). The lower door has a very nice original reverse tablet with parrots (some background is lifting and flaking). The dial and hands are proper style, but new. The movement is an early brass Seth Thomas 8-day lyre plate movement, but 10 to 20 years older than this case. The later cornice top is not correct and needs to be re-done. There has been considerable re-veneering on the case, but it has been done well and mainly needs finish. Label legible, with some losses. Height 32″ $350-$450

    Catalog Description: C.1936, Seth Thomas Clock Co., “Merrimac” 30-hour time/strike ship’s bell clock. This has a nice clean case with no dings or dents. The silvered dial has a little tarnish and minor scratches, and with an original decal from John Bliss and Co., Nautical Instruments, New York City. Someone has tried to touch up the numbers 4, 8, 9 and 10 with black paint. The hands are original; runs and strikes. Height 7″ $175-$275

This mahogany case has a scrolling pattern of inlay on the front center and a spray above the dial, and has been professionally refinished. This 8-bell model plays your choice of Westminster on 4 bells or Whittington tune on all 8 bells, selector lever on the side. This clock is in original as-found condition, no effort has been made to clean or restore the clock in any way. The original painted dial has a light coat of nicotine (we wouldn’t touch it). The hands and nickel damascene pendulum are original. The extra large movement is stamped “Suez” on the cross bar, plus patent dates of 1875. The door glass is original; label inside. The one minor defect is the pendulum rating assembly broke off and the bob is simply glued on to the stick. These parts are available from Timesavers. This is how you like to find them. 44 inches

    Catalog Description: C.1875, Seth Thomas, Tower Clock, No. 1 – Time, in very good condition. The one shortcoming on this clock is a missing bob for the original pendulum stick. There are some scratches and flakes in the original green paint, but it is overall very good. Includes 4-dial distribution gear set, a set of hands with motion works, winding crank, weight holder and a half dozen original iron weight sections. This clock was in running order in Cooperman basement when we lifted it out. Height 50 inches

Gong hammer and gong have been replace (base is original). Inside label is a little faded, but still fully legible. Height 15.25 inches [38.73 cm]
