Catalog Description: Seth Thomas Clock Co. Sonora “Chime Clock No. 1 Special”, ca. 1915. Adamatine red mahogany case, 13.5 inches high and 15 inches wide. A few small chips at corners of base, otherwise mint condition. One piece porcelain dial is signed “Seth Thomas” and “Sonora Chimes”, and it also has “chime” and “silent” switch. Dial is clean and crisp, one tiny chip at the fast and slow indicator. Good label on back, additional chime and silent switch on side. 8-day No. 89M movement and Sonora movement No. 90 with 4 bells. Catalog Description: C.1921, Seth Thomas Clock Co., Chime Clock No. 61 (rods), 3-tr Westminster chime mantel clock in mahogany with frontal inlay. Condition: This clock has been in storage for some time, but is still trying to tick and chime through the dryness. The chime rods are intact, and with original pendulum., Silvered brass dial with minor scratches and oxidation. Case has original finish with some crazing that should polish out nicely. Some case screws were replaced when chime movement was serviced. This rod version still has the same 2 separate movements as the bell version, but was slightly cheaper. Catalog Description: C.1900, Seth Thomas Clock Co., “Cordova” 8-day time and strike oak mantel clock in very good original condition. There is some wear to the finish along the edges of the case, and some dirt on the top but overall it is in great shape with nice patina; note it may have been brushed over with some reddish shellac long ago, as it does have a mahogany look to it. The porcelain dial and beveled glass are perfect. The movement is properly signed, and was recently overhauled, and is in good running order. Note this is a skeletonized version of their round movement that we have not seen before (both front and rear plates are cut out). The hands are original. This clock is ready to take home and enjoy.
