    Catalog Description: C.1920, Seth Thomas “SOLAR” , all brass mantel clock , 8-day striking, with half hour indication on a cupped bell. The original gilding on the case was worn, so someone has brushed on a heavy coat of gold paint which you could remove. The movement was recently serviced and is running and striking. This is an uncommon Seth Thomas model and is otherwise in good condition. Note silvered dial with raised bronze numerals. Height 10 inches $225-325

    Catalog Description: Seth Thomas mantle clock, “Solo”, ca 1913. Mahogany colored adamantine finish case is 18 inches wide and 9 inches high. Original dial, label, gold gilt sash, movement, and feet. Ends are scabbed along the bottom and have been stained to cover the scabs and match the finish. About as nice as we get in an adamantine. Movement is 8 day, striking half hours on a cup bell, and hours on a cathedral bell, and is running. Ly-Seth Thomas No.1262.

    Catalog Description: Seth Thomas mantle clock, “Solo”, C. 1913. Mahogany adamantine case, 18″ wide, 9″ high. Overall a very good clean case, 4 brass feet. Not a perfect case, but we just don’t get them any nicer. Movement is 8 day, strikes half hours on a cup bell, and hours on a cathedral bell, running just fine. The original dial is not porcelain or paper, but the new plastic type they were using during this time period. Good label, gold gilt sash and bezel. Ly-Seth Thomas #1262.

    Catalog Description: Seth Thomas tambour, “Simsbury-1 W”. Westminster chimes movement No.124, striking 5 hammers on 5 rods. Full label on the door. 8 day movement has been cleaned and oiled, running. Walnut case is 13.5 inches long, almost 9 inches. The brass dial placed right over the walnut case, 3 wind holes in the walnut, bowed glass. Very clean clock.

    Catalog Description: C.1935, Seth Thomas, “SIMSBURY”, Westminster chime mantel clock in fair to good condition, with broken chime spring. The numerals on the silvered dial have been touched up; there is a scratch in the top of the case. Heavy #124 movement appears complete despite broken spring, but reassure yourself before bidding. Chime rod assembly is intact and rods have nice tone. Label inside rear door intact. Height 9 inches

The case has been stripped and refinished; minor veneer repairs; the Seth Thomas label in the back is new, distressed to look old. The original dial has been re-blacked over the original surface and is sharp, with great signature. The original geometric tablet is great.     Catalog Description: C.1930, Seth Thomas, Ship’s Wheel no. 66 with 6 inch dial, 10 ” overall. Case is heavy cast brass with screw bezel. This larger model is uncommon, as most of these that surface are the Ship’s Wheel no. 44 with 4 ” dial. The retail price of this clock in 1930 was $65. Details on Seth Thomas’ extensive line of ship’s bell clocks can be found in the Winter 1981 issue of The Timepiece Journal, published by the American Clock and Watch Museum. This is an outstanding example of this model clock. Reserve $400

    Catalog Description: Seth Thomas Ships Bell clock-barometer combination called, “Regatta3”, ca 1950. Barometer of the highest grade, compensated type, knob on front for resetting the guide hand. Polished cast brass case with hinged type wheel bezel. 4 inch silvered metal dial etched in black. Fitted witan 11 jeweled, precision made 8 day, fine lever movement that strikes the ship’s bells. Both units mounted on a single base of hand rubbed solid mahogany with base molding in bright polished brass. Both units are stamped “Mayflower 3”. 8 1/2 inches high and 18 5/8 inches wide.     Catalog Description: C.1925, Seth Thomas, MONITOR Ship’s bell clock, mounted to a board with a hand carved sailing ship below, and with a sun, moon and star carved around the clock. The movement is still sound, but is dirty; the silvering is all rubbed off the dial, and there is corrosion on the brass, evidence of a life outside. Still, this has a lot of character, and appears to have been well loved; from a home in Maine. Diameter of clock 7″, height of board 16″ $400-500
