  • Antique Seth Thomas “Regulator No. 20, Variant” Model Clock

    Antique Seth Thomas

Catalog Description: C.1910, Seth Thomas, “Regulator No. 20- Variant” with unusual center seconds, with time dial below. Condition: The mahogany case has been attractively refinished. The dial was perhaps repainted long ago, or if it was for laboratory use, may be original; diameter of seconds ring 12″. Note in movement foto, this is the standard movement called for in the ST catalog. The entire bracket and movement are simply mounted 2 inches lower in the case, thus positioning the seconds hand at the center of the dial. There are NO extra holes on the original backboard, neither inside nor out, so this is definitely a factory special accommodation for a lab clock. Unable to tell if there was top trim; tapered bottom is original. Weight is tarnished; original pendulum and beat scale. Runs fine. Height as shown 56″
