You could get this in cherry, ebony, mahogany, oak,
or walnut, with or without a strike.
This one is walnut, with a clear finish that is slightly glossy, and is time-only, eight
days, spring-driven.
It is running without issue.
The door glass is old, the nickel pendulum bob is damascened, and there
is a beat scale; all the finial knobs are present and there are no issues with the case.
The painted dial is original and has
been touched up in a couple of spots; it is a bit faded and a bit warped.
The hands are correct.
There are remnants of
a black label inside.
Another solid clock with little to complain about.
Queen Annes are bringing about $450 pretty consistently
these days.

the pendulum stick has been adapted to work (compare with #62).
It will only run for a few minutes and will need cleaning, if
not repair.

to sell; this is the nicest I have had in a while.

Condition: except for missing one small finial top right, this is in excellent original condition with good dial showing only minor wear, super original finish and an excellent label in the bottom of the case. The walnut case is in good condition with original finish, however, the clock must have fallen at one time and damaged the lower bracket, which is now missing, but the bottom trim molding was saved and placed back on the case. This clock was originally exported to England and the painted dial is signed “Barry and Sons, Cardiff”. The clock has a beautiful nickel-plated damascened pendulum. This example has an early wooden beat indicator. There is a very nice label in the bottom of the case. If this clock had retained its original bracket it would have been worth $1,000 and the estimate reflects the condition. Height 31.75Ó $500-$700

Condition: the case has been refinished to a light golden color. The original dial is weak, some of the numerals rubbed off, and with a large flake by 11. The time only movement is original to the case. Retains fancy nickel plated damascene pendulum and nickel bezel around dial. The striking model is worth $2000. Condition: Walnut case in excellent condition with original finish. The dial surface is original; someone has gone over the Roman numerals. Hands, nickeled bezel and nickeled damascene pendulum are original; very good label in the bottom of the case. Note this is 1880 version with bell screwed to rear of case, wooden plumb indicator, and no seconds bit. The 1883 version had the larger movement, seconds hand and metal beat scale. Both are valued by Ly at $2000. We sold a Queen Anne in April ’03, lot 215, for $1860. Height 36 inches [91cm]

The problems arise when you remove the dial to find this clock originally had a time and strike movement, and the vacant holes for the movement blocks and the gong support are clearly evident. It now has an appropriate timepiece movement and dial which could be left as is (the model was also offered in time only), or if you have the right movement, the clock could be properly restored. The only other alternative would be to re-veneer the backboard of the case. In original condition, this model can bring 900 dollars. Height 36 inches

The case retains a nice original finish. There is a small damaged area at the base of the block supporting the left hand column. There is also a small damaged area on the lower right hand side of the case, not visible from the front. The two lower finials are missing. The painted dial pan is a newer replacement. The hands are original with a repair to the minute hand. The door glass is old but has been out of the case. The movement is signed.

Original, unrestored walnut case is 36″ high. Outside of case is clean but has darkened over time; the inside is showing the beautiful walnut grain on the backboard, dial board, inside of the door, etc. Full black label on the base, correct brass bob, very nice signed original dial, and paint on zinc.
